Ingredients

3 servings
  • Whole wheat flour1 cup
  • Sweet potato1/4 cup
  • Water1/4 cup
  • Olive oil1 tbsp
  • Salt1/4 tsp, optional

Steps

  1. 01

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Make the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup (120g) whole wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon (1g) salt, and 1/4 cup (30g) mashed sweet potato. Add 1/4 cup (60ml) water and 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil. Stir until the mixture forms a soft dough.

  2. 02

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead it gently for 1-2 minutes until smooth. If it feels too sticky, add a little more flour.

  3. 03

Shape the Breadsticks: Roll the dough into long, thin sticks using your hands or a rolling pin. Each stick should be about 4 inches (10 cm) long and 1/2 inch thick.

  4. 04

Bake: Place the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and lightly crisp on the outside. Allow to cool before serving.
