Ingredients

3 servings
  • Fish, salmon1 filet
  • Sweet potato1 medium
  • Applesauce2 tbsp
  • Oat flour2 tbsp
  • Olive oil1/4 tsp

Steps

  1. 01

Prepare the salmon: Cut the salmon into small pieces (about 1-inch chunks). You can lightly steam or pan-cook the salmon until it’s fully cooked, about 4–5 minutes.

  2. 02

Mash the sweet potato: While the salmon cooks, steam or microwave the sweet potato until tender. Mash it until smooth.

  3. 03

Make the mixture: In a bowl, combine the cooked salmon, mashed sweet potato, applesauce, and oat flour. Mix until the ingredients come together into a thick, sticky batter.

  4. 04

Shape the bites: Use a spoon to scoop small portions of the mixture and form them into bite-sized balls or patties.

  5. 05

Cook in the air fryer: Arrange the bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray them with olive oil. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy on the outside.
