Ingredients

3 servings
  • Oats1/2 cup
  • Avocado1 piece
  • Milk1/4 cup
  • Olive oil1 tbsp
  • Flax seeds1 tbsp

Steps

  1. 01

Cook the Oats: In a small pot, bring 1/4 cup (60ml) of water to a boil. Add the rolled oats, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and the water is absorbed.

  2. 02

Prepare the Avocado: While the oats are cooking, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a small bowl. Mash it with a fork until smooth and creamy.

  3. 03

Combine Oats and Avocado: Once the oats are cooked and slightly cooled, stir in the mashed avocado, mixing until smooth and well combined.

  4. 04

Optional Add-ins: If desired, mix in the olive oil for extra creaminess and the ground flaxseed for an added nutritional boost.

  5. 05

Serve: Let the oatmeal mash cool to a safe temperature before serving. Serve in small, baby-friendly portions, either in a bowl for spoon-feeding or in small lumps for self-feeding practice.
