I know I know, this recipe is giving major Fall vibes, however, just give it a try and I promise you'll thank me later! These were so dang good and perfectly sweet but with no added sugar! They are super easy to make and it only requires 2-3 ingredients. Not gonna lie, the baking time is long, however, with this recipe you'll never pay $5 for a bag of apple chips ever again. Ingredients

  • Apple3 pieces
  • Spices, cinnamonsprinkle
  • Spices, cardamomsprinkle

Common allergens (USDA)

Recommended after 12 months old

Steps

  1. 1. Heat the oven to 200 F
  2. 2. Slice the apples thinly using a sharp knife or mandolin if you have one
  3. 3. You can use an apple corer to remove the core, a small cookie cutter, or just remove the seeds using your hands
  4. 4. Arrange the apples in a single layer on a large baking sheet (you'll likely need 2-3 baking sheets depending upon the size of your apples)
  5. 5. Sprinkle the apples with a light dusting of cinnamon and cardamom
  6. 6. Bake the apples on the upper and lower parts of your oven for 1 hour
  7. 7. Swap the positions of the baking sheets and bake for 1.5 more hours until the apples crisp up after sitting at room temp for 2-3 mins*. If the apples have reached your desired level of crispness you can remove both trays and enjoy! If not, you can continue baking them and just make sure to check them every 5-10 mins to prevent from overcooking
