Here is a way to make creamy natural yoghurt at home for your baby and avoid all the additives and preservatives that some some store-bought yoghurts contain. It's an easy, budget recipe and full of active cultures that are great for little tummies. Source: kidspot

Ingredients

  • Yogurt3 tbsp
  • Milk2 1/2 cups
  • Milk powder2 tbsp

Common allergens (USDA)

Recommended after 12 months old

Steps

  1. 1. Fill a very large heatproof bowl with cold water and ice.
  2. 2. Combine milk and milk powder in a small pot and stir to combine over a medium heat. Use a thermometer to bring the milk mixture to 90C and keep it at this temperature for a few minutes.
  3. 3. Take pot off heat and place in the large bowl and stir. Use the thermometer to monitor the temperature. Once the temperature is brought down to 45C, remove the pot from the bowl and stir in the yoghurt until combined. Pour into a sealed flask, leaving untouched for at least 6 hours.
